Wood Recycling Workshop

In 2022, the UK generated approximately 4.5 million tons of waste wood. There is an increase in waste wood and households. However, there was a 3.6% decrease in 2021 when wood manufacturers promoted DIY projects during the lockdown.
Wood Terminal is an ongoing wood recycling workshop which encourages people to DIY and recycles unwanted wood such as old furniture, pallets, and firewood. It collects or gets donated wood from the local communities in London and transforms it into handmade wooden tools.
In a big city like London, old things are quickly consumed and replaced by new things. Even in such a situation, reusing objects is highly important. The idea of Wood Terminal provides people with the thought of reusing wooden products once more before throwing them away. The design of the products is minimalistic which demonstrates less processing and the possibility of handmade, so people can imitate making them at home and build their own recycling workshops.
